Just back from a ten day visit to Bryher in the Isles of Scilly. I’ve been every year with my family and a group of friends for the last eight years and I love it more everytime I go. This year I not only took my paints, as I always do, I used them. Bryher sketchbook As we were camping I had no choice but to paint outside and it was a wonderful experience. The light and colour out there is fantastic. I was particularly struck by the intense oranges and ochres of the seaweeds. Took hundreds of photos. Will be a while sorting them but I feel there will be a lot of seaweed drawings and paintings soon.
